We’re pretty serious about color therapy over here at Calico Alchemy Studios, and its taking a few good years to bust out our best version of an earth rainbow of signature solids for our Made to Order drops— you will see marbled variations of the signature solids sprinkled into our ready to ship drops as well.
I have been working with Hemp blends in my personal dye journey since day #1. It was my first choice, and is still my first choice. I LOVE HEMP. every color is perfect on hemp, there have a been a few hues that i haven’t yet mastered with procion dyes on hemp specifically, but hopefully someday I will achieve them

Bamboo Jersey and Bamboo Terry are going to very similar in tone to our Bamboo velvets, you can expect the color to have less depth and just look lighter overall. compared to our hemp blends, we do need to explain they are not the exact same, and we want you to understand why the different fibers pull slightly different tones with the exact same dye recipes.

Bamboo is just fun. were still feeling a little less experienced working with Bamboo over-all, but from what I have learned so far, It takes way less dye to get as dark of colors, and Bamboo seems to take the red tone, whereas hemp takes more of a blue tone.
Our earth rainbow of signature solids becomes so rich and royal in the bamboo velvet fabric, keep an eye our for other seasonal hues and our marbled versions that we put into our Spring, Fall, and Winter collections.
