POLICIES AND RETURNS

*RETURNS ON CUSTOM MADE TO ORDER ITEMS:

Here at Calico, we are a small business, doing what we can to stay open and operating. When you decide to purchase with us, we trust that you understand what you are buying in to. 

Therefore, we do not offer refunds. We will however EXCHANGE your order for a different design of the same price. If you want something that costs more, you can email calicocustomercare@gmail.com -with your proposal, and send the extra money via venmo or paypal. 

When you decide to exchange something you are responsible to pay shipping on BOTH ENDS. Why?….. because everything we make is custom, made to order. That means it is made FOR YOU. We take great care in listening to our customers, reviewing your information and special requests. If you then decide it doesn’t fit right or perhaps you just don’t like it as much as you had hoped, it turns out being a lot of work to exchange an item, therefore we cannot offer to pay the shipping as well. 

WHEN YOU INITIATE A RETURN, PLEASE KEEP YOUR ITEMS CLEAN AND FREE OF ANIMAL HAIR !!! THIS IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT, AND SIMPLY RESPECTFUL. YOU ARE EXPECTING US TO RE SELL THE ITEM YOU RETURN. SO PLEASE, PUT IT IN A PLASTIC BAG IF YOU NEED TO, BUT KEEP IT CLEAN. 

*RETURNS ON READY TO SHIP RELEASES:

We will only take exchanges on ready to ship release items up to one week after you receive it. Be sure to try on your item immediately and email with your exchange initiation asap.

YOU ARE THEN RESPONSIBLE FOR SHIPPING BOTH WAYS. If you miss that window of exchange opportunity, 7 days after you receive it, WE WILL NOT be able to take back ready to ship orders. You will be responsible to re sell it on some sort of social media platform.

If we no longer have the size you need for your exchange in stock, your exchange can be for anything in our MADE TO ORDER section of the website. AGAIN, unless it is convenient for us, you may not be able to get the original item you ordered because of certain circumstances that a ready to ship release may fall under (ex; the original item you ordered involved a certain type of lace we only had a small amount of, and we cannot get more)

*RETURNS ON SINGLE PANTIES OR ENTIRE PANTY PACKS:

WE DO NOT TAKE RETURNS OR EXCHANGES ON PANTIES. PERIOD. NO EXCEPTIONS. PLEASE TAKE EXTRA CARE WHEN DECIDING YOU SIZE. PLEASE EMAIL US. PLEASE READ SIZING CHARTS CAREFULLY AND ASK QUESTIONS IF NEEDED. 

*HAND DYED COLOR DISCLAIMER FOR R.T.S- AND -M.T.O 

We cannot guarantee that ever dye bath will turn out perfectly the same hue. Although I am getting pretty good with my procion dyeing, and batches are coming out more predictable every time, there may be a slight vary from batch to batch. THIS IS WHAT MAKES OUR CLOTHING UNIQUE. So please try to celebrate it. Rather then be disappointed. WE DO NOT WISH TO INITIATE EXCHANGES just because of color matching. If it is totally off from what you expected and you are not happy, of course we will fix the issue for you. 

**** CLOTHING MADE WITH BAMBOO FIBERS WILL ALWAYS TURN OUT QUITE A BIT DARKER THEN HEMP COLORS. Please keep this in mind when ordering. Hopefully we can get strait up color swatches of the bamboo velvet soon, but for now just know that it turns out about a shade darker then any of the hemp clothing will be. 

*WAYS TO AVOID FIT ISSUES:

  1. ONLY PURCHASE ONE ITEM IN THE SIZE YOU NEED TO START. DO NOT PURCHASE MULTIPLES UNTIL YOU KNOW WHAT YOU WANT / NEED. 

  2. IF YOU ARE UNSURE OF WHERE YOU STAND WITHIN OUR SIZING CHART, PLEASE EMAIL US calicoalchemyorganics@gmail.com AND ASK QUESTIONS. WE ARE HAPPY TO HELP YOU UNDERSTAND WHICH DESIGNS WILL BEST FIT YOU IN THE WAY YOU ARE LOOKING FOR THEM TO FIT ! 

  3. WHEN TAKING CERTAIN MEASUREMENTS, BE SURE TO HAVE SOMEONE HELP YOU, SO YOU CAN GET THE MOST ACCURATE READING POSSIBLE. 

  4. IF YOU SEE US VENDING SOMEWHERE, TRY STUFF ON FOR FUTURE ONLINE PURCHASING.

ORGANIC FIBER AND HAND DYED FABRIC CARE:

  1. Be sure to wash all items separately to discharge any possible excess dye (especially dark colors like black, purples, reds, and blues) 

  2. IF YOU ORDER ANYTHING IN NATURAL (no dye) : wash with white loads only for best results. 

  3. Fabric will last longest when washed on a regular cycle in cold water. 

  4. Steer clear of toxic detergents such as tide, gain, or other harsh things like borax. 

  5. Use ECO friendly soaps such as: seventh generation, ECOS, Mrs Meyers—soap nuts or anything hand made. Generic soaps labeled ‘free n clear’ will work just fine.

  6. BEST TO AIR DRY IF AT ALL POSSIBLE. This keeps the colors looking brighter, and the elasticity of our stretch fabrics lasting longer

  7. You can totally dry your organics in the dryer, recommended on medium heat or delicates.

  8. Be sure to wash and dry your organic hand made clothing with loads of similar type clothing. (ex; I don’t wash my organics with my hubsand's carharts or bath towels)
